Jodie debuted for the Hockeyroos in February 2011 and retired October 2020 with 226 matches for Australia and 111 goals. She was co-captain of the Hockeyroos, a Dual Olympian (London 2012 & Rio 2016) and Commonwealth Games Gold (Glasgow 2014) & Silver (GC 2018) medalist. Jodie took a break from Hockey in 2017 to have her son and returned to the National Squad in 2018. In that year she won a silver CG medal, placed 4th at a World Cup and won Hockeyroo of the Year for the 3rd time. Since retiring she had her second son.
Apart from the experience of playing elite level sport which she loves sharing, Jodie has a passion for coaching, sporting development and getting kids involved in sport. She is also extremely proud of her achievements after becoming a mum and loves sharing her experience and challenges of balancing mum life and the elite athlete lifestyle. Outside of Hockey, she is studying to become a Primary HPE teacher so she can continue to inspire children to participate in sport.
