With a burning desire to excel and a ‘never say die’ outlook on life, it was only a matter of time until Sally found the ideal sport for her. From her early years, Sally has achieved beyond expectations. With a smaller stature than most, she has had to rely on mental toughness and true grit to beat bigger, stronger athletes both domestically and internationally. Since her senior international debut at the age of eighteen, Sally has had to show maturity beyond her years, however, this has culminated in a well-experienced mature athlete. After competing in the women’s eight at the Beijing and London Olympic Games’, Sally is now looking forward to focusing on the double scull. It is a boat class she is better suited to and already showed promising results, becoming World Cup Tour Winners and breaking the world record in 2014 with her crewmate Olympia Aldersey. In 2013, Sally took a sabbatical from the sport to focus on her professional career in finance, only to return to the sport in 2014 to have her most successful year on record. Performances are on the rise, get on board for Rio 2016!
