Peter Siddle was Ricky Ponting’s, and then Michael Clarke’s go-to bowler in Test match cricket. He made his test debut in 2008 claiming Sachin Tendulkar as his first Test wicket.

The fearsome strike bowler has produced some lionhearted bowling spells that have resulted in Test and Series wins for the Australian team. In October 2009 he was named ICC Emerging Player of the Year.

His hat trick against England in the first test of the 2010-11 Ashes series on his 26th birthday was a very memorable moment dismissing key batters in Cook, Prior, and Broad. He currently has 8 Test match 5 wicket hauls including best bowling of 6/54. He has also claimed 3 Test match man of the match award.

In 2015 he claimed his career-best first-class figures of 8/54 against South Australia. In 2016 he was diagnosed with stress fractures in his back which resulted in a year on the sidelines which included pulling out of a county contract with Nottinghamshire. He has just made his comeback with Victoria in the JLT One Day Cup.
