A star midfielder as a junior, Tom Scully was the number 1 selection in the 2009 National Draft, picked by Melbourne.
He took the opportunity at the end of 2011 to join the AFL’s newest team, the GWS Giants, on a 6 year deal. His running capabilities have seen him become an important player with the Giants.
Following an injury plagued 2018 season Tom was traded to the Hawthorn Football Club where he will look to add class to to the already impressive midfield. Tom played his first game for Hawthorn in round 2, 2019. He didn't miss another game that year and was considered a steal of the year.
Tom retired on 2 February 2021.
