Originally signed as a priority player by the Giants, McWilliams has been a prominent forward, booting 7 goals both seasons. Her 2018 included three in Round 1 against Melbourne and a spectacular Mark of The Year contender against Collingwood in Round 3. Phoebe was named to the All-Australian squad in 2018.
One of Geelong’s first recruits as it prepares to join the AFLW for 2019, Phoebe McWilliams joined the Cats via the Expansion Signing Period after two impressive season with GWS.
In June 2022, McWilliams was traded by Geelong to Carlton ahead of the seventh season of the AFL Women’s competition.
Outside of her impressive on-field career, Phoebe holds a Journalism degree and is a highly successful freelance writer having written for the likes of Inside Football.
