Laura Scherian is the pint-sized powerhouse of her Netball team, Sunshine Coast Lightning. Following a successful season at Lightning and a spectacular performance at Suncorp Super Netball in 2017, Laura was made an official reserve for Australia’s Fast5 team to compete at the Fast5 Netball World Series in Melbourne before being called up the following year as an official team member for the 2018 tournament.
Whilst Laura is regarded as being a leader in the netball world, Laura’s main passion off the court is nutrition and cooking. It’s through Laura’s Instagram that nutritional tips and tricks alongside personal recipes from ‘Shez’s Kitchen’ are shared. Distinguishing herself from the classic foodie, Laura’s goal is to use her knowledge and passion for food and nutrition to contribute to a happier and healthier community and Shez’s Kitchen is the perfect outlet for this! It’s then in Laura’s spare-time that Laura gives back to her community through coaching Netball to children playing at a school-aged level.
A qualified naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science, Laura is an extremely well-rounded athlete who is willing and able to give anything a go! Laura would be an amazing ambassador for any brand looking to expand their reach into the fast-growing world of netball.
