Mark Keane, originally from Ireland, is a professional Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Adelaide Football Club in the AFL.
Having grown up in Ireland, Mark initially pursued Gaelic Football before venturing to Australia to explore Australian Rules Football.
Mark's journey led him to Collingwood, where he joined as a Category B rookie. He made his debut for Collingwood in Round 9 of the 2020 AFL season, facing Fremantle.
However, in January 2022, Mark decided to depart Collingwood and the AFL, returning to Ireland. There, he achieved success by winning the All Ireland Grand Final with his club Ballygiblin in 2022.
Mark's passion for Australian Rules Football brought him back to Australia in 2023. During the AFL's pre-season supplemental selection period, he signed with the Adelaide Crows. Mark marked his debut for Adelaide with a notable victory against Port Adelaide in a Showdown match.
Mark has most recently signed on for a further 3 years, committing to the Crows until the end of 2028.
