Kristy Stratton is an Australian Rules football player who plays for Hawthorn in the AFLW.

A talented junior track and field athlete, Kristy's football journey took off in 2014 when she won the VFLW Division 1 Best & Fairest award, playing at Knox Football Club.

In 2015, Kristy suffered a setback when she ruptured her ACL and underwent a knee reconstruction.

Returning from her injury, Kristy was advised by doctors to focus on her football and give up athletics. Kristy signed with the Box Hill Hawks in the VFLW ahead of the 2017 season. Despite playing just seven games due to tearing her lateral meniscus, Kristy made the most of her limited opportunity and was drafted into the AFLW by Collingwood in the 2017 AFL Women's Draft.

Kristy played 11 games in four years at Collingwood between 2018-2021, before re-joining the Box Hill Hawks in the VFLW in 2021.

Kristy impressed immediately at Box Hill and finished the 2022 season as Box Hill's leading goalkicker and came second in the club's best and fairest count. Kristy returned to the AFLW after she was drafted to the Hawthorn Football Club in the 2023 AFL Women's Draft.

Kristy is the younger sister of champion athlete Brooke Buschkuehl.
