About me

Tayla had her first taste of competitive cricket when she started playing for her state’s under-14 girl’s team.

Soon enough, WBBL came calling with the Renegades selecting her for the second edition of the league in 2016-17.

Despite having had a tough road undergoing two knee reconstructions, Vlaeminck’s persistence was rewarded when the right-arm quick made her Australian debut in late 2018.

The 2019/20 season was a breakout year for Tayla, dominating the Ashes series against England, named in the winning squad of the 2020 ICC Women’s World One Day tournament and received the Betty Wilson award – presented to Australia’s most promising rising player and voted for by her peers.

In April 2020, Cricket Australia awarded Tayla with a central contract ahead of the 2020–21 season.

After suffering an injury riddled 2022, Tayla has a returned to play for Australia A in England and competed well.
