Enter: geek chic. Once shorthand for social outliers, “geek” is now a badge of brilliance — and no one wears it more proudly (or more stylishly) than Lachy.

From winning hearts on national TV to partnering with high-profile brands (and even moonlighting as an underwear model), Lachlan is proof that brains and authenticity are a powerful combo. A self-confessed trivia titan with a photographic memory, he blends academic accolades and quick wit with wide-eyed obsessions including science, supercars, sports, and birdwatching (aka ornithology, if we’re staying on-brand). But don’t be fooled – this geek doesn’t just talk the talk. He drives it.

Lachlan is a full-throttle motorsports aficionado, now shifting gears as Head of Motorsport at One Raceway, a state-of-the-art facility near Goulburn, NSW. 

There, he helms the action across both One Raceway and Pheasant Wood Circuit in Marulan, overseeing event operations, media, public relations, and marketing. Add to that his ongoing work through his own media and PR consultancy, where he reps top-tier racing drivers, teams and events, and it’s clear: Lachlan is racing toward legacy status in the motorsport world.

Not one to be boxed in, Lachlan also earned his stripes on-air. Following his star-making stint on Beauty & the Geek, he spent a fast few years as resident producer and occasional on-air talent for KIIS 106.5’s Kyle & Jackie O Show – Sydney’s #1 syndicated breakfast radio juggernaut. He later took to the mic as the weekday host on Power FM Ballarat, delivering good vibes and great tunes from 10am to 2pm, before moving to Melbourne to help launch the show’s ‘laneway capital’ edition for 12 months.

A humility that outshines his résumé, and a passion for people that fuels everything he does — especially his philanthropic venture, Commentating for a Cause, where he donates his professional fees to charity while encouraging motorsport fans to do the same.
