Isis Holt is a four-time Paralympic Silver Medallist and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist who has consolidated her status as one of Australia’s most accomplished athletes.
Born with cerebral palsy, she took up competitive athletics in 2014 and within a year was winning Gold and breaking records at the 2015 IPC World Athletics Championships in Doha in the 100m T35 and 200m T35.
At the Rio Paralympics, Isis won Silver in the 100m T35 and 200m T35 events while also claiming Bronze in the 4 x 100m Relay T35-38 to cap off a memorable debut Games.
The sprint star then recovered from a bout of tonsilitis to defend her titles at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London by setting another world record in the 100m T35 and winning a second Gold in the 200m T35.
Another Gold in the 100m T35 followed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast.
After taking some time away to focus on her studies, Isis matched her achievements from Rio by winning two Silver Medals in the 100m T35 and 200m T35 events at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics respectively.
She is currently studying behavioural neuroscience (psychology) at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane and her hobbies away from the track include reading and riding horses.
