Craig Fitzgibbon (Fitzy) is the current Cronulla Sharks Head Coach after serving 11 years as an Assistant Coach at Sydney City Roosters. During his Assistant Coaching role at the Roosters, they won the 2013, 2018 and 2019 Premierships. He has also Coached NSW Country at the representative level.

As a Player, Craig played for Illawarra Steelers, who then merged and became St George Illawarra Dragons. He played in the Grand Final in their inaugural year scoring a try but unfortunately they lost to the Melbourne Storm. He then went on to play over 200 games with Sydney Rosters followed by a further 44 with Hull FC towards the end of his career – in 2010-2011. In his first year with the Illawarra Steelers, Fitzgibbon was top point-scorer and was named rookie of the year. Upon transferring to the Roosters in 2000 he was starting second-rower in their premiership winning 2002 Team and was named Clive Churchill Medallist – best-on-ground of this Grand Final. He was also named Captain in the Roosters 2006 Side and the same year he went on to became the highest scoring forward in premiership history – he was also a goal kicker. Fitzy also represented NSW Country, New South Wales and Australia. He played 19 Test matches for his country.
