Danika Mason is a well respected Australian sports broadcaster on Wide World of Sports on Channel 9. Having worked in sports journalism for more than 9 years, she hosts NRL, the Sunday Footy show as well as sideline reporting for various sporting events from the NRL coverage, to the Australian Open tennis tournament.

Her love of sport has been present from a very young age, participating in a variety of sports throughout her life including netball, basketball, touch football and soccer when studying at Oakhill College. Now residing by the beach in Sydney, when Mason isn't travelling across the country for work you can find her relaxing in the sand with her friends.

Mason’s passion for sport is still present in her personal life, often going to the gym and participating in various classes and sport activities, all whilst being an avid member of the 440 Run Club. She promotes this frequently on her social media, sharing her latest personal bests and running times.

You’ll also likely find Mason joined on her runs by her chocolate labrador who she fittingly calls “her shadow”. She studied Journalism and Marketing at university, leading her to her success. Mason has expressed her passion and support for Beanie for Brain Cancer. She has promoted the Mark Hughes Foundation and the Big Three Trek, a 150km walk to raise awareness and funds for brain cancer. She is found making contributions to many charities such as the Carers Foundation, providing help where she can.
