David is a former Australian professional Indigenous footballer whose career spanned nearly two decades across Australia, Europe, and Asia. Renowned for his pace, versatility, and attacking flair, Williams represented the Socceroos and featured at every national team level, showcasing his talent on the international stage. He enjoyed successful stints in the A-League with clubs including Queensland Roar, North Queensland Fury, Sydney FC, Melbourne City, and Perth Glory, overseas countries he lived and played in were Denmark, Hungary, and most notably India with ATK and Mohun Bagan, where he became a fan favourite. With over 350 professional appearances, Williams built a reputation as a dynamic forward known for his ability to score some amazing, world-class goals.
Since retiring with Perth Glory FC in June 2025, David has headed into coaching and mentoring and is currently the Head Coach of the U16 National Indigenous Team, known as the Charles Perkins XI.
