A Ballarat local, 23yo Sam Short has spent the last four seasons with Melbourne United (NBL) as a development player, playing a part in winning two championships (2018,2021)
The exciting young talent has already pulled on the green and gold several times in his career, representing Australia in under-18s and under-19s.
Most recently he represented Australia at the FIBA Oceania U18 Championships in Suva, helping his side to nab a silver medal.
Short is currently playing for the Ballarat Miners (NBL1) in his 5th season with the club. As captain and a focal point of the team, Short demonstrates his leadership skills and playing ability in the hope of preparing for next NBL season.
