Gerrard is a Tongan-Australian professional Super Netball player, she started her professional career with the Sydney Sandpipers in 1999 before moving to the Sydney Swifts in 2004. During that same time she played for the Australian National Team. Moving to the Adelaide Thunderbirds in 2008 marked her comeback from injury, going on to win the 2010 ANZ Championships. She re-joined the National Team for the Commonwealth Games where they won Silver. Returning to the Sydney Swifts in 2011 Gerrard played her 50th ANZ Championship match as well as her 150th domestic match.
