Create an experience with Josh Katz

I am a 27-year-old Judo athlete based in Sydney, Australia, and a proud two-time Olympian. At 18, I became the youngest Australian male to ever compete in Judo at the Olympic Games (Rio 2016), and alongside my brother Nathan, we made history as the first Australian brothers to compete at the same Olympics in Judo. I later went on to win a Bronze Medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and most recently represented Australia at my second Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Beyond competition, I am passionate about helping others perform at their best. As a former ambassador for the Black Dog Institute’s Mental Fitness Program, I am passionate about promoting wellbeing, resilience, and positive mental health. I hold a double degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Sport Management, which has strengthened my understanding of both athletic and organisational performance.

Over the past five years, Nathan and I have spoken at more than 100 schools, sporting clubs, and businesses across Australia. This experience inspired us to launch 'Team Katz' — our independent speaking and mentoring business. Through our workshops and programs, we aim to inspire others to reach their potential by building resilience, setting clear goals, and developing high-performance daily habits.

Our presentations are designed for both large audiences (such as school year groups or sporting academies) and smaller groups seeking a more tailored approach.
