As a TV presenter, journalist, podcaster and recipe developer specialising in food stories, Jane looks to make good food accessible to everyone and put the fun back into cooking and eating.
Jane regularly presents live food and cooking segments on Channel Nine’s Today, Today Extra, A Current Affair and 9Honey, as well as writing food, lifestyle and news features.
In 2016, Jane was appointed Food Editor for nine.com.au. She is a food journalist and presenter with over a decade of food storytelling experience, but she is not a food elitist.
Jane has also written for the Herald Sun, The Sydney Morning Herald food and coffee guides and Cheap Eats among other well-loved publications.
For many years she was senior food writer and contributor to Broadsheet Melbourne and Sydney, first on the ground when new cafes and restaurants opened their doors, interviewing chefs and writing copy for the first Broadsheet Cookbook.
“Jane always makes our lives so simple, and events so meaningful! We have used Jane to host multiple Sydney Good Food Month events. Jane’s ability to make an array of talent feel comfortable and tell their story, from nervous young chefs to the country’s top chefs, is a true talent”. -Jess Good, Event Manager Good Food Month
In 2018 Jane hosted the 52-episode weekly podcast series ‘What the F is For Dinner’ , interviewing Australia’s best chefs and food personalities.
Her passion for sharing food stories has led her to MC food events including the launch of the Channel 9 partnership with the Australian Open in 2018, where multiple food activations were announced to the media, while she interviewed iconic chefs including Neil Perry live on stage. And Jane is a regular host of the Sydney Good Food Month events.
Jane loves working with brands that speak to everyday home cooks and make home cooking easier. She has presented commercial videos and content for clients from GLAD and Chandon, working with specific products, as well as presented live TV cooking segments for clients with a focus on making mealtimes simple and easy.
“Jane has MC’d several of my high end events and is such an all-round professional. She brings a world of energy, colour, enthusiasm and professionalism to the job and is an absolute pleasure to work with. By far one of the easiest hosts I’ve had the pleasure of working with.”
- Hannah Vinden, Director Marketing The Goods’
Jane can customise a talk for clients or speak to some of the following topics:
• The Fantastic Fun of Failure... in the kitchen.
• Giving up my job to eat all day... was the smartest thing I ever did.
• It takes a hack to know your audience. How I found my voice on the food scene.
Live cooking demonstrations or kitchen hacks can be incorporated into events.
Jane de Graaff and her creative production team have a personal cooking studio, for developing brand content for social media and websites, making campaigns easy and affordable.
