Liam Picken is a former AFL Premiership player for the Western Bulldogs, with a decade long career at the club. Son of AFL legend, Billy Picken, Liam made his mark on the AFL with an impressive debut in his clubs clash against North Melbourne 2009.
Affectionately known around his home club as 'Mr. September', Picken was named best finals player in his teams Premiership campaign in 2016, being imperative to his teams success in every game, and kicking the 3 goals in the Grand Final.
In 2018, whilst in a pre-season game against Hawthorne in Ballarat, Picken received an accidental head knock and suffered a severe concussion, forcing him to miss the rest of the season. After repetitive come back attempts, Picken announced his retirement from football in April 2019, as a result of his on going battle with concussion symptoms.
Outside of football, Liam is just as passionate and determined. Liam has completed a Bachelor of Business (International Business) and Master of Applied Finance.
