Originally from Townsville, Matthew Conroy relocated to the Gold Coast in the early stages of his AFL career.
During 2019, he represented the Allies at the NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships, Conroy also played for the Suns in the NEAFL as an Academy top-up player.
Conroy was pre-selected by the Gold Coast Suns as an Academy graduate at the 2019 NAB AFL Draft. With an AFL debut just around the corner, Conroy is looking to develop his craft even further and become a regular at the Suns.
