Jess Anstiss is a young star on the rise in Australian Netball. The local WA product was born and raised in the WA netball world, her mum being a regular state and national representative. Jess grew up playing for the “Rebels Netball Club”, with her development pathway across the Kalamunda and Southern regions of WA Netball, supported by her school – the Darling Range Sports College.

She is a very proud West Australian, with a rapidly increasing profile and recognition by the games hierarchy at national level.

In her inaugural year in the Suncorp Netball Competition, Jess achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Fever’s MVP – something few can claim in their debut season. This “star on the rise” status has been further confirmed, with her recent inclusion in the Samsung Australian Diamonds Squad for 2018.

On the court, a determined and combative mid-courter, who’s flexibility to play all 3 mid court positions make her a valuable asset, off the court Jess is a personable, grounded athlete who spends a great deal of time with her huge and close knit family – known colloquially as the “Anstiss Army”.

Jess’s family connections see her work with the Rett’s Syndrome Awareness campaign – a debilitating and challenging disorder that afflicts one of her young cousins. Jess is also an ambassador with Midland Nissan – this sees her actively involved in local clinic work and school visits – something she enjoys greatly.
