Paul McGregor McGregor joined the Dragons' coaching staff in 2002 as a strength and conditioning coach, a position he also held with the NSW Blues. He became coach of the St George Illawarra Dragons midway through the 2014 NRL Telstra Premiership season until 2020.
Nicknamed 'Mary', McGregor took the Dragons to the 2015 finals series and in 2018 reached 100 NRL games in charge of the Red V.
McGregor was no stranger to the Dragons before becoming coach after featuring in 158 games for the club (Illawarra Steelers 124; St George Illawarra 34). The Dapto Canaries junior also played for Country Origin (five games - 1992-97), New South Wales (14 Origins - 1992-98) and Australia (three Tests - 1994-95).
On November 5, 2021, McGregor joined the Parramatta Eels coaching staff as a consultant for the 2022 NRL Season. He also joined the NSW Blues Origin program as an assistant.
