Create an experience with Julian Morgans

Having a big dream isn’t easy. It doesn’t matter what the dream is: maybe you want to be a famous athlete, or start a Fortune 500 company. But everyone will tell you that your dream is unrealistic, or worse—pretentious.

Julian knows this experience all too well. From the youngest age he wanted to make movies, and everyone told him he’d be unemployed. And for a long time they were right. Julian worked as a cleaner and a bartender and the years slipped by and the rejection letters piled up. But the dream wouldn’t die.

Now, at the age of 34, Julian is making his first TV series for Netflix. He’s also the host of Extremes podcast, which was recently bought by Spotify. He’s founded a media company that has a range of films and TV shows in development, and he’s happy. And definitely not unemployed.

So what did he learn? Julian learned about the unyielding driving power of a dream. He learned how to dodge pitfalls and ignore naysayers. He learned about where to find motivation when you’re down, and how to recognise opportunities when you're up. And most importantly, he learned why it’s important to dream—and why risk-taking can be such an empowering experience.
