Create an experience with Daniel Wells

Daniel burst onto the AFL scene in 2003 after being selected by the North Melbourne Football Club at Pick 2 in the 2002 Draft from Peel Thunder. A naturally gifted athlete, Daniel used his assets to break the lines and be an offensive weapon for the Kangaroos which resulted in him being voted by his peers as the AFLPA Best First Year Player. This result came as no surprise to North Melbourne who closely tracked him in his final season for Peel Thunder as a then 17 year old blew the competition apart finishing second in the Sandover Medal awarded to the Leagues Best & Fairest player, despite only playing 14 games.

His dash and skill makes him the perfect modern day player which every team craves to have in their team. However, after dominant seasons across 2010 to 2013 which included two club Best & Fairest's, Daniel's output in 2014 & 2015 was limited due to two injuries which were hard to shake, however he bounced back to career best form in 2016, showing his ability to break open the game from both inside and outside the stoppage.

At the conclusion of the 2016 season, Daniel made the tough decision to leave the Kangaroos and join Collingwood as a Free Agent. Unfortunately, his time with the Magpies was hinderd by injury playing only 15 games between 2017 and 2019; deciding to retire.

Away from football, Daniel enjoys his golf and spending time with his wife Ria, and beautiful daughter Laudate.
