Yohan Blake is the second-fastest man in the 100 metres and 200 metres sprint. He is certainly on Usain’s tail, as the youngest 100 metres world champion in the history of the sport Yohan is showing no signs of slowing down. He is now hitting the speaking circuit running, presenting motivational speeches at events up and down the country. Audiences revel in Yohan’s successes and infectious passion for personal bests, which result in a transformative impact at conferences and functions.
At the 2012 London Olympic Games, Yohan ran the 100 meters in 9.75 seconds, coming just behind Usain Bolt. He later set the fastest “non-winning time” in history, with a silver placed finish of 19.44 in the 200 metres. Yohan had gold in his sights, and in the 4x100 meters final he won for the Jamaican team in the final leg – he even set a new world record! Only two years later, he set another world record in the 4x200 meters at the Bahamas I.A.A.F. World Relays. Considering his leading talent, Yohan is an authority on goal setting and peak performance at events.
When Usain Bolt stated, “watch out for Yohan Blake” in 2008, he certainly was not wrong. Nicknamed the “Beast” for his insatiable work ethic, he exploded onto the athletics scene, winning the 2009 US Reebok Grand Prix 100 metres. As the youngest athlete to break the 10-second barrier, with a personal best of 9.96, he was later chosen to compete in the Olympics. Having thrived under pressure from such a young age, Yohan understands more than most the power of a steady head and strong goals, factors of success that he discusses with captivated audiences.
No stranger to defending prestigious titles, Yohan has set several fastest times at events across the world, beating his previous personal bests. With 17 gold medals to his name, form such events as the Olympic Games and World Championships, as well as four silvers and five bronze finishes, Yohan is undoubtedly an athletic force to be reckoned with. Such monumental success is credited to his winning mindset, a sense of determination which he instils in audiences at events.
