Create an experience with Bryan Fletcher

Representing the Sydney Roosters, South Sydney and the Wigan Warriors in the NRL and Super League, Bryan Fletcher’s career spans over 10 years, from 1997 until 2007. Since Bryan’s retirement, he’s developed a media career, joining TV sports panels and a Sydney radio show, as well as starting his own cleaning company alongside his business partner.  

NRL Career: 

Bryan started his top-level career for the Sydney Roosters in the 1997 ARL season. Having only 24 National Rugby League appearances, Bryan was selected to play for Australia in the 1999 Rugby League Tri-Nations tournament. In his career, Bryan acquired 13 caps for the Australian side, as well as playing 14 games for the NSW State of Origin team. 

Bryan played for the Roosters until 2002, moving to the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2003. Soon after joining the team, Bryan was assigned as club captain. Bryan Fletcher was club captain until 2005. 

In 2006, Bryan moved to England to play for the Wigan Warriors, making his debut against the Warrington Wolves in March the same year. Bryan’s first game was a success, making an instant impact as a substitute and scoring his first try within three minutes of appearing on the field. 

Bryan Fletcher’s Rugby Career Highlights: 

Whilst playing for the Sydney Roosters, Bryan Fletcher played second-row forward during the NRL Grand Final in 2000, which the Roosters lost narrowly to the Brisbane Broncos. Bryan was also part of the Australian team that won 52-0 against New Zealand, as well as a 3-0 whitewash against Queensland during the State of Origin series in 2000. During the same series, Bryan became famously known for his “hand grenade” try celebration. 

In 2003, Bryan was awarded Best and Fairest South Sydney player of the 2003 season.

Bryan Fletcher’s Media Career:

Bryan has joined Channel 9’s ‘The Footy Show’ and Fox Sports’ ‘Monday Night with Matty Johns.’ Since he started presenting, Bryan has won over thousands of sports fans with his dry sense of humour.  Bryan is also a co-host alongside Joel Caine on the Joel and Fletch Sydney radio show on SEN, airing Monday to Friday between 3 and 6pm.
