With longevity in mind, Jack Bytel underwent back surgery at the start of 2019 to ensure a strong start to his career as a St Kilda player.
The Calder Cannons co-captain didn’t see any football action as a result, but earned a name for himself a natural ball-winner, sturdy inside player and strong tackler throughout his limited outings in his draft year.
Bytel was selected by St Kilda with pick No. 41 in the 2018 National Draft.
Saints and AFL fans alike are excited to see Bytel take the field.
