After being drafted with pick number 65 in the 2013 National Draft, Tom has blossomed into one of Collingwood, and the game's best running defenders.
Tom debuted in the opening round of his first season with the Magpies. In that season he managed to win a Rising Star nomination, be selected in the AFL's 22 Under 22 side, and win Collingwood's Best First Year Player award.
Since then, the versatile defender accepted the challenge of playing as an undersized key defender and became more vocal as a leader of an inexperienced backline with the Magpies.
In 2020 Tom announced his retirement from AFL after battling with Injury.
Since retiring Tom has turned his focus to his business LayDay Coffee started with his brother Ed, a premium instant coffee brand.
