Kiera Austin is one of Australia’s premier netballers, currently serving as Vice-Captain of the Melbourne Vixens in Suncorp Super Netball and representing the Australian Diamonds on the international stage. Known for her agility, creativity and composure under pressure, Kiera has become one of the most exciting and influential players in world netball, capable of impacting games across Goal Attack, Goal Shooter and Wing Attack.

Born in Sydney, New South Wales, Kiera began her national league career with GIANTS Netball before joining the Melbourne Vixens ahead of the 2022 season following a significant ACL injury and rehabilitation period. Her resilience and determination have since underpinned a remarkable return to elite sport, highlighted by a Netball World Cup gold medal with the Australian Diamonds in 2023, where she was awarded MVP in the World Cup Final, and Commonwealth Games gold in 2022. At domestic level, Kiera was awarded the Sharelle McMahon Medal as Melbourne Vixens MVP in 2024 before helping guide the club to the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball Premiership, where she was named Grand Final Player of the Match.

Widely recognised for her long-range shooting accuracy and attacking flair, Kiera recently celebrated her 100th national league game milestone and continues to establish herself as one of the game’s most marketable athletes. Off the court, she holds a degree in Medical Science from Macquarie University and is currently undertaking a Master of Genomics and Health at the University of Melbourne.

Passionate about female athlete health and wellbeing, Kiera also co-designed UnderAustin alongside Eltee Sydney, a performance period undershort line aimed at empowering young girls to stay confident in sport. Through her advocacy around reproductive health, fertility education and women’s wellbeing, Kiera uses her platform to create meaningful impact beyond netball, making her a highly respected athlete, role model and commercial partner.
