Mim Strom has rapidly become one of the most dominant ruck’s in the AFLW, with a career marked by continual improvement and remarkable achievements. Drafted to Fremantle with pick #21 in the 2019 AFLW Draft, Mim quickly established herself as an up-and-coming star.

Standing tall at 6'3", she is an imposing figure in the ruck and is known for her exceptional marking skills and the ability to win hit-outs to her team's advantage.

The 22-year-old’s breakout 2024 season saw her selected as the first ruck in the AFLW All-Australian Team, a testament to her dominance in the competition. Mim also claimed Fremantle's prestigious Fairest and Best award, further cementing her place as one of the game's brightest talents.

Mim’s ability to control the ruck and her work ethic have set her apart. She currently holds the record for the most hit-outs in a single AFLW game, which she has broken twice in the 2024 season. Her new league record of 56 hit-outs in the 2024 Elimination Finals shattered previous marks, making her the first AFLW player to record 50+ hit-outs in a match. She also set a new record for the most hit-outs in a season, with a remarkable 390.

Mim's performance in the 2024 AFLW season included multiple milestones, such as recording 48 hit-outs in her 50th game in Round 1, 48 hit-outs in Week 8, and 47 hit-outs in Week 7. Her remarkable consistency and work ethic ensure that she will remain a force in the AFLW for years to come.
