MEDIA

Luke Darcy is a well-respected media performer. Few former AFL players have shown
themselves to be as versatile in a media career across TV & Radio as Darcy, whose roles
combine his everyday life, humour and passions for AFL, and sport in general, as well as the
health and wellness industries.

For over 10 years Darcy has worked in radio on Triple M, on the leading Melbourne breakfast,
‘The Hot Breakfast’ alongside Eddie McGuire and throughout the Triple M Footy coverage in
key commentary and hosting roles.

Since 2012 Darcy’s TV career has seen him play a key commentary and hosting roles throughout Channel 7’s AFL coverage, including Talking Footy.

Outside of his football media work Darcy hosts The House of Wellness, a weekly show that
helps people live, look, and feel well.

Prior to his move to Channel 7 and Triple M, Darcy provided special comments on Ten’s AFL
coverage and in that time, he also o-hosted football programs One Week At A Time and The
Fifth Quarter, the network’s coverage of the ANZ Netball Championships, and the 2010
Commonwealth Games in Delhi, in addition to being a regular voice on radio during this
time on SEN1116 and 3AW.

LIFE

Away from media and business interests, Darcy is a family man, he is married to Rebecca
and they have four children Sam (16), Sienna (14), Will (12) and Max (9) and he spends many
weekends around work involved in coaching and watching them play sport.

Summer time is spent with the family down the beach, swimming, boating and fishing.
Darcy is passionate about health and wellness, he keeps fit, practices yoga, has a daily
meditation practice and eats healthy.

PLAYING
Darcy played over 200 games for the Western Bulldogs, following in the footsteps of his father
David. He made his debut in 1994 and emerged as one of the AFL’s leading ruckman,
winning the Bulldogs’ best and fairest award in 2001 before gaining All-Australian selection
and winning the AFLPA MVP award in 2002.
