Steven McGarry, born in Scotland is a Ex Professional Footballer and current 1st Team Assistant Coach at A-League side Perth Glory FC. He made his move to A-League club, Perth Glory in 2010 after playing most of his career in the Scottish Premier League. He played 114 games over 5 seasons with Perth before transitioning into a coaching position with Glory and also the Western Australian state team. Steven was one of five players honoured by Football Federation Australia with an Outstanding Contribution to the A-League award at the 2016 Grand Final in front of a 50,000 strong crowd. He also stared for the A-League legends team v Manchester United Legends at nib Stadium in 2017.
In March 2018, McGarry was one of four, former St Mirren F.C. players voted by supporters to have a street named in his honour - McGarry Terrace - following a public vote run by Renfrewshire Council to name the streets at the former Love St ground.
