Create an experience with Andrew Mackie

Andrew has been a key member of the Geelong side during the most successful period in the clubs history. He is now a triple Premiership player at Geelong with nearly 200 games experience. 2013 was Andrew’s best season. He played in all of Geelong’s 25 matches averaging 21 possessions and 6 marks a game playing across half back. His great season was rewarded with a spot o in the All Australian team and a third place finish in Geelong’s best and fairest. He continued his great form in 2014 with another great season playing 22 games and averaging 20 disposals and 6 marks. Andrew was selected by Geelong in the 2002 National Draft at pick 7. He made his AFL debut in round 3 of the 2004 season and went on to play 13 games and received a Rising Star Nomination for his 3 goal performance against Melbourne in round 8.

Andrew was in and out of the Geelong side during the 2005 and 2006 seasons before cementing his spot as a running half back with the ability to kick goals in the 2007 season. He played all 24 of Geelong’s matches and kicked 13 goals and was part of the 2007 premiership side. With the departure of some of the Geelong veterans Andrew is now a senior member of the Cats side and will play a very important role in Geelong’s push for more premiership glory.
