Create an experience with Jordan Lewis

Selected by Hawthorn in the first round of the 2004 Draft alongside fellow club champions Jarryd Roughead and Lance Franklin, the three of them became a catalyst in lifting the club from the bottom of the ladder to Premiership success in 2008 in what was a meteoric rise. Many experts wondered whether the 2008 success may have been a one off, however the Hawks went on to become one of the greatest teams of the modern era, winning the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Premierships as well as narrowly missing the 2012 Premiership.

During this era it was Jordan along with teammates Luke Hodge, Sam Mitchell, and Jarryd Roughead who led from the front, constantly striving to push their game to the next level in order to achieve sustained success. It was during this period that Jordan arguably enjoyed his best football, winning a club Best & Fairest, being named as an All Australian, as well as finishing second and third in the Best & Fairest.

Hailing from Warrnambool, Jordan was renowned for his ferocity and competitiveness to the contest, which some media at the time referred to as ‘unsociable football’ given its unforgiving edge and the Hawks becoming such a formidable opponent. However this ferocity was complemented with Jordan’s ability to see the game unfold in front of him and his exquisite skills that made him one of the games most damaging midfielders. 

After a tremendous career at Hawthorn, Jordan played the final three years of his AFL career with Melbourne which at the time was going through its own rise up the ladder. In what had been a lean period of success for the Dees, Jordan provided experience and knowledge on what it took to build a group for success. This led to the Demons playing in the 2018 Preliminary Final, losing to eventual Premiers, West Coast.

At the conclusion of the 2019 season, Jordan retired from the game and took up a role with Fox Footy and SEN’s AFL Nation, as an expert commentator. This was a career he had built toward after holding down a number of roles with both organisations whilst he was playing. In addition to his media, Jordan is also a part time specialist coach at Melbourne, whilst also having completed his Building Apprenticeship and Logistics degree in his playing days.

Outside of his work commitments, Jordan has kept himself busy raising his three boys with wife, Lucy, and also launching his own Wine range. His passion for Wine has seen him become an Ambassador for Pentridge Cellars.
