Hannah Martin joined SAWFL club West Adelaide in 2017, having never played football before. Growing up on a farm in the Yorke Peninsula, Martin had a stellar season, impressing with only having 10 games under her belt and being picked up by the West Adelaide SANFL Womens team to participate in the second year of SANFLW.
Once again, Martin was an integral member of the West Adelaide team, known for her fierce tackling ability and aggression in attacking the ball, which lead her to win the SANFLW Best and Fairest for the 2018, and a stand out on baller in The Advertisers Team of the Year.
When November 2018 came around, it was no surprise that Martin was drafted to the the Adelaide Crows to compete in the AFLW 3.0. A solid player on the forward flank, Martin helped her team to become the 2019 AFLW 3.0 Premiers.
