Marijana Rajcic is one of the most talented AFLW players Australia has seen. Before Marijana started playing AFLW, her first professional career started when she played soccer in the W-League for the Adelaide United Football Club for 6 years, one of which she captained.
After noticing women’s AFL was gaining more traction, Marijana decided to lend her natural athletic abilities to a new sport, and was drafted to the Adelaide Crows in the 2017 national draft.
Marijana had never played a game of professional AFL prior to trialling with the Adelaide Crows, but her athleticism immediately attracted the attention of coaching staff.
Her debut was at Round 3 of the 2018 season when the Crows defeated the Western Bulldogs. She is now considered one of the most important players in the team.
In 2019, she was part of Adelaide’s Premiership win, playing an important role that season.
In 2021, Marijana participated in The Amazing Race: Australia with Chelsea Randall.
Marijana became a two-time Premiership player for Adelaide when they won the AFLW Premiership in 2022.
