Emma Checker is a professional soccer player who currently plays for Melbourne City. Her former clubs include Adelaide United where she was captain in the W-League, Melbourne Victory, Canberra United, and she has experience overseas with Incheon Red Angels in South Korea.
She has also been capped as an international for Australia at U-17, U-20 and senior level.
Emma, who plays primarily as a defender, returned to Adelaide United in 2017 on a two year contract, and is a leader on and off the field. In 2019 she decided to leave the Reds and move her skills to Melbourne City.
Toward the end of 2019, Emma was selected in the Matildas squad and competed in the Chile games.
Still only 23, she has a wealth of experience, and has big things ahead of her. Emma is a New Balance global ambassador and is open to other commercial opportunities.
