Cameron White on his day is one of the world’s most destructive batters. Combine this with exceptional hands in the slips and a sharp tactical brain and you have an international cricketer with all round match winning capabilities. Named Victorian captain in 2003 ahead of Shane Warne and Darren Berry, he became the youngest in the State’s long history at the age of 20. He has also successfully captained Somerset and the Australian T20 side. Australia test selection in 2008 against India completed his national representation across all formats of the game.
He burst to life in 2009 with his first ODI century, 105 against England in Southampton, and another century came against Pakistan at home. He was awarded player of the match in a successful 2008/09 Sheffield Shield final against Queensland scoring 135 in the first innings.
He was also a part of Victoria’s 2015/16 and 2016/17 Sheffield Shield championship winning teams and he was also named Domestic player of the year for the 2016/17 season, a season in which he topped the leading run scorer’s table in the Matador One Day cup.
In 2019, Cameron was a member of the Melbourne Renegades BBL08 championship winning team.
In August 2020, White announced his retirement from professional cricket. He's intends to continue playing Premier Cricket for the Melbourne Cricket Club and is looking for coaching opportunities
