Jack Redden is a hard-working midfielder who has amassed some very impressive performances during his 263 games. Redden began his football journey with the U19 Glenelg side in the SANFL in 2008. He had a remarkable finals series for the junior club, boosting his draft position significantly. Due to his tenacity around the ball, desire to win and great defensive pressure, Redden was acknowledged as a great and versatile player. Redden was drafted to the Brisbane Lions with pick 26 during the 2008 NAB AFL Draft.

Redden made his debut for the Lions in Round 15 of the 2009 season against Geelong. Redden then went on to hold his position in the side for the remainder of the year. Redden then went onto play over 100 consecutive games for the Brisbane Lions. Redden’s 2012 season saw him collect an average of 24.9 disposals, 6.45 tackles and 6 clearances a game. Redden’s game was based around a competitive inside midfielder role that was ferocious in both attack and attack. His ability to win the ball in large numbers and execute it affectively proves a x-factor to his game.

2016 saw Redden embark on a new AFL journey as he began a new chapter at the West Coast Eagles. Redden has now successfully played 34 games with the Eagles since joining, averaging 18.5 disposals a game. Due to an ongoing adductor program, Redden faced time on the sidelines upon arrival at the Eagles. Upon returning to the side late in 2017, Redden began to showcase the very talents and competitiveness that he was drafted on. 2018 proves to be a very exciting prospect for the midfielder as he embarks on a season where the West Coast midfield has lost significant experience and personnel in Matt Priddis and Sam Mitchell.

Jack was part of the Premiership winning West Coast Eagles in 2018, Playing 25 games in 2018 and averaging 25 disposals a game.

Jack is still currently playing for the West Coast Eagles.
