Jack Sinclair was drafted by St Kilda with the first pick of the 2015 Rookie Draft. Jack is a small and incredibly dynamic midfielder/small-forward who uses the ball and reads the play exceptionally well. His agility, strength and overhead marking is a real facet of his game; all of which have allowed him to play on different opponents all over the ground. Jack originated from the Oakleigh Chargers however was drafted as an U19-year-old after sadly missing selection the year before. His year in the TAC CUP saw him play predominately through the midfield, collecting high numbers of disposals and kicking goals.

Since arriving at the Saints, Jack has adapted to the AFL system very well, playing 18 games in his first season. Impressively, Jack also kicked 18 goals that year. 2016 saw Jack play a mixture of VFL and AFL, making 9 senior appearances for the Saints. Furthermore, 2017 saw Jack play both down forward as well as, at times, in the midfield. Jack’s ability to add depth to the midfield has aided the Saints throughout the season. After playing 17 games for 2017, he has developed his game further as a more robust and versatile player. He kicked 8 goals for the 2017 season.

Jack will look to add further value to the St Kilda team in the 2018 season. With his continued midfield development, Sinclair is on track to becoming a very handy and valued player at the St Kilda Football Club.

After spending his career to date as an offensive player in the midfield or at half-forward, Sinclair was switched to the backline ahead of the 2021 season. Sinclair cemented his role from that moment and the switch proved a masterstroke for both the Saints and Sinclair, with the latter ultimately having his career-best season. Sinclair also finished second in their Best and Fairest award, collecting 155 votes as well as the Robert Harvey Best Clubman Award.

Jack had an outstanding 2022, playing 22 games averaging 27.7 disposals a game. He was rewarded with his first selection on the 2022 AFL All Australian team.
