In 2025, Smith re‑signed with the club and was upgraded to the Eels’ Top 30 squad for 2026, reflecting the club’s confidence in his long‑term potential. His strong defensive output, high tackle efficiency and ability to direct play from dummy‑half have established him as one of the competition’s most promising young hookers.
