A proud Yaruwu woman, Jauncey was born in Western Australia, but spent time in the Queensland netball pathways before her family moved to Perth. A hard working athlete, Scarlet has captained WA’s state U17 and U19 teams, and was also selected in national squads for the same age group. However, being selected for the Australian Indigenous team, the Black Swans, is the highlight of her career to date. Scarlet has no participated in Pacific Series as captain of the Black Swans, was recently a part of the Fever team that won the SN Reserves competition and has been named in the Australian U21 World Youth Cup team. Cleary her career is just getting started.

Of court Scarlet is passionate about bringing awareness to the struggles that indigenous athletes face and is hoping to encourage more Indigenous mentors to enter the sporting arena. Scarlet's leadership abilities and down to earth nature make her a delight to be around. What this space, big things coming from Scarlet.
