Jack Howell is a Para Triathlete who is currently ranked 5th in the world and number 1 in Australia. Jack is the youngest Para Triathlete in the World Rankings for his category. Born with a limb deficiency of the left hand Jack is determined, a problem solver, and a bit sports mad!

Jack debuted internationally in 2022 and has already won 1 x gold, 4 x silver, and 1 x bronze World Triathlon medals. These include Gold at the 2022 National Paratriathlon Championships in Runaway Bay, along with two silver medals at the 2023 World Triathlon Para Series in both Yokohama and Devonport.

At the age of 19, Jack is already a two-time National Champion. He is the first Australian para triathlete to hold the Para National Champion title at the same time as the non-disabled National Champion title, and qualify for both a Para and non-disabled World Championships in the same year.

Jack is very active with volunteer work as he is an Ambassador and Volunteer for Variety Children’s Charity Victoria, the Dylan Alcott Foundation and the Sports Excellence Scholarship Fund. He is also a winner of numerous prestigious awards including the Lindsay Gaze Award, Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship, and DSR Junior Sportsperson of the year award. Jack is a highly regarded presenter for the VIS and AIS School Speaker program.

Jack is a big personality, enjoys having fun when he competes, holds a dual diploma in Sport/ Management and Leadership, and is an outstanding public speaker as both keynote and Q&A formats. He can speak on many different topics including the benefits of sport, grit and resilience, adaptability under pressure, balancing priorities in sport and life, body image, and high performance goal setting.
