Founder & CEO – The Outback Mind Foundation Men’s Mental Health Advocate | Author | Meditation Educator
Aaron Schultz is the founder of The Outback Mind Foundation, a national charity dedicated to improving men’s mental health through preventative education, emotional literacy, and community connection. Raised in rural Victoria and with over two decades of leadership in male-dominated industries, Aaron experienced firsthand the mental health struggles men often face—eventually overcoming his own battle with anxiety, burnout, and near suicide.
Through healing practices like meditation, yoga, and lifestyle change, Aaron reshaped his life and now helps others do the same. He facilitates Men’s Circles across regional Australia, hosts The Outback Mind Podcast, and delivers workplace and community wellbeing programs aimed at reducing male suicide and domestic violence.
Aaron is also the author of A Wink from a Guru, a memoir and mental wellness guide. His mission is clear: to help men build emotional awareness, resilience, and purpose—before crisis hits.

TESTIMONIALS
“The work Aaron is doing in the mental health space is like non-other that I have experienced. Having had the privilege of sitting-in on two of Aaron’s seminars now and I can honestly say the content delivered is meaningful, uplifting, engaging, empowering and it is sometimes raw. It is delivered by real people, from real experiences, and this aids with creating healthy conversations with family, friends and colleagues. It can inspire you to strive for wanting better, whether it be for yourself or for others in your work life, or in your personal life. I cannot recommend Aaron’s work enough and I strongly encourage all businesses to reach out and schedule a seminar for your workforce, the benefits of empowering people with preventative mental health strategies are unparalleled and I will continue to be a proud ambassador for the work being done by Aaron and the Outback Mind Foundation”. Jason Catling, Regional Yard Leader at Aurizon
I have been fortunate to attend 2 Men’s Health Workshops facilitated by Aaron, and can completely recommend him, without any hesitation. Aaron presented the very difficult subject matter of Male Suicide and isolation in a manner that was sensitive, compassionate and engaging. I witnessed him draw the subject matter out from the crowd, engaging us in the patterns of the stories he told, encouraging questions, exploration and group conversation while re-affirming the messages of health and wellbeing toward participants in a manner that was meaningful and relevant for everyone in the room. I can honestly say after 5 years of working with people as a counsellor – I learned something new and useful at each Workshop.” Olga Hurley, Counsellor at IMPACT Community Services
