Mikayla Hyde, is a 22 year old small forward player for the Collingwood AFLW side.

In 2021, Mikayla was overlooked in the AFLW Draft. Obviously, disappointment on not being picked up, she dusted herself off and used this to fuel her in the next opportunity that arose, as a train on player for Fremantle.

Mikayla rose to the challenge and showed Fremantle what she was able to do in a professional environment. She was then elevated from a train on player to the main list and was official AFLW player.

Mikayla debut in the opening round of the same season and across her four AFLW campaigns, she has made 29 appearances and booting eight goals for Fremantle.
In 2024, an opportunity arose to be traded to Collingwood Football Club. The Club she has been supporting since she can remember. It was a dream come true to play in the black and white.

Collingwood describe Mikayla as having a strong football talent with impressive football IQ, great ball use and forward pressure.

Off the field, Mikayla is studying Secondary Education at University and works with What Ability. What Ability is an NDIS registered disability support service utilising professional and semi professional athletes as support workers.
