Aran Zalewski is the current Captain of the Australian Mens Hockey Team, the Kookaburras. He has just recently played his 250th game for Australia, and is currently preparing for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Aran grew up in Margaret River, before moving to boarding school at Aquinas College. He now lives in Perth and has evolved into a long standing Australian Hockey Player, and is also employed at Deloitte within the Human Capital Team as a Change Management Consultant.

With over a decade of experience within a high performing team environment, Aran has developed strong leadership skills and social intelligence through setting high standards of behaviour, performance, discipline and dedication whilst representing and captaining the Australian Hockey Team.

On top of Aran's role with the Kookaburras and passion for sport, he is also a keen surfer, and proud Dad. He believes time spent with his young family provides a great balance for him away from the demands of training and competition.

Aran is a current ambassador and guest speaker for Southwest Sports that aims to educate and encourage regional athletes to engage in sport and recreation in South West WA. Aran is also an Ambassador for The United Project to raise awareness and improve early detection of Mental Health risks in team environments. He is an active supporter of MSWA and takes part in their organised events designed to raise awareness for health issues.
