Macy Gardner is an elite Australian netballer currently starring for the Queensland Firebirds in Suncorp Super Netball. A versatile and dynamic midcourter, Macy is known for her elite speed, exceptional vision and relentless competitiveness, with the ability to influence games across Centre, Wing Attack and Wing Defence.

Originally born in Melbourne, Victoria, Macy progressed through Netball Queensland’s elite development pathway, representing Queensland at both 17/U and 19/U level before earning MVP honours at the National Netball Championships. She made her Suncorp Super Netball debut for the Queensland Firebirds in 2019 and has since developed into one of the club’s most important players and emerging leaders.

Following a breakout period in the Firebirds midcourt, Macy was awarded the prestigious Laura Geitz Medal as the club’s Most Valuable Player, in addition to receiving the Members’ Player of the Year award and the Kierra Trompf Firebirds Spirit Award, recognising her resilience, professionalism and team-first approach. During the 2025 season, she celebrated her 50-game milestone for the club before being elevated into the Firebirds leadership group as vice-captain ahead of the 2026 season.

Coming from a strong sporting background as the daughter of former Queensland Firebirds head coach Roselee Jencke, Macy has developed a deep understanding of elite performance and leadership. Off court, she balances professional sport with tertiary study, currently completing a Bachelor of Business.

Known for her authenticity, energy and strong connection with teammates and fans, Macy brings a highly professional and engaging presence to both high-performance and commercial environments.
