2 x Olympian track and road Cyclist huge passion for all things health and fitness. AFL was never big in my family having Irish parents so NRL and EPL are what we follow and I love being able to support these with my dad.
I grew up a runner in my primary schools years. 1500m & 800m on the track and Cross country through the winter. I also played any sport I possibly could.

I had a major knee operation at 12 and was told by my sports surgeon it's the most wear they've ever seen on a 12-year-old. I then got on a bike for rehab and dabbled in Triathlons in my return to competition realizing I would never be a swimmer.

I ran and rode for a couple of years before switching my full focus to cycling. My career wasn't easy, crashes and injuries all part of the job description. After a big crash in Perth in my early years I punctured my thigh muscle which meant I couldn't accelerate from a slow start. As a track rider, this ruled me out of a few major events. I then switched my focus to track sprint and successfully qualified for my first Olympics.

Post Rio I made the switch again back to track endurance as my muscles had built enough strength that I was able to race the events I once loved. Unfortunately during my transition back to endurance I was hit by a car and shattered my elbow and fractured my opposite wrist. After months of surgeries and almost walking away from the sport I finally got myself right and was able to ride back on my own again. With just two years to go, I put my head down, made race weight and got the road km's under my belt and started racing track endurance.

I had a few nasty crashes with some severe concussions through my first season but finally, I was fighting fit and in the best shape of my life and was able to qualify for my second Olympics and the only female rider to do so in both sprint then endurance.
