Roz Kelly is a sports journalist and broadcaster with the Nine Network.

A multi-award-nominated reporter and presenter, Roz has covered many of the world’s biggest sporting events.

After growing up in remote mining towns throughout Australia, Roz completed a Bachelor of Journalism at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She began her media career in local news and went on to hold positions as a reporter and presenter at Sky News Australia, Fox Sports and Nine Network.

Roz has covered the Tour de France, Rugby World Cup, Commonwealth Games, The Ashes, World Surf League, Formula One and MotoGP. During her time at the Nine Network, she reported at the 2012 London Olympic Games and was Nine News’s main cricket reporter, often travelling with the Australian cricket team to cover their fixtures.

Roz was twice nominated as a finalist in the prestigious Australian Sports Commission Media Awards’ Best Coverage of a Sport category and was also named one of Women’s Health magazine’s Woman of Sporting Words in 2013.

Roz joined Network 10 in 2014 as part of their coverage of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and was a boundary reporter during the network’s coverage of the 2014-15 KFC Big Bash League season before moving to South Africa with her husband, South African cricketer Morne Morkel.

Roz returned to Australia in November 2016 and was a welcome addition to 10’s KFC Big Bash League hosting roster for another two seasons from 2016-2018.

In 2019, Roz was an integral member of 10’s sports team alongside host and 10’s Head of Sport, Matt White, hosting all of the networks major events including The Australian Formula One Grand Prix, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Australian MotoGP and the Melbourne Cup Carnival live from Flemington across four huge race days.

In 2022, Roz will return to the Nine Network as a sports journalist and broadcaster for WWOS and Stan Sport.
