Daniel completed an unguided ascent of Mt Everest in his 20s. He has since made numerous first ascents up unclimbed peaks in uncharted locations such as northern Greenland, and has tackled some of the world's most dangerous mountains, including the infamous North Face of the Eiger, nicknamed 'Murder Wall'. 

Daniel also became the first Australian to summit Antarctica’s highest volcano and the "youngest person on the planet to climb the highest peaks on every continent."
